Project objective<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of the project is to develop a modern and innovative energy complex based on renewable energy sources (RES), hydrogen technologies, and large-scale underground energy storage in salt caverns. TWh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crude oil: approx. 3.57 Mt (4.2 million Nm\u00b3; 42.84 TWh)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Strategic advantages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>close proximity to the LNG terminal and Gaz-System transmission network,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>integration potential with the planned deep-water container terminal,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ability to use pressure differentials in cavern operation for green electricity generation via expanders,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>capability to stabilize RES production and supply port infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location 2 \u2013 Szczecin Lagoon Region<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Planned: up to 36 caverns with the following total storage capacities:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydrogen: approx. 0.23 Mt (1,440.49 million Nm\u00b3; 7.92 TWh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural gas: approx. 2.19 Mt (2,908.72 million Nm\u00b3; 30.24 TWh)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crude oil: approx. 10.71 Mt (12.8 million Nm\u00b3; 128.52 class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>offshore wind farms,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>new PSE transmission infrastructure,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gaz-System pipeline network,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the \u201cFriendship\u201d crude class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Potential hydrogen transmission towards Germany through the Oder Corridor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Caverns may serve as strategic reserves of natural gas and crude oil for Poland and eastern Germany.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project enhances energy security and resilience for the region and the EU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5\/ Key Infrastructure Connections<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The planned storage facilities are located close to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>approx. 100 km from the final Polish compressor station of the \u201cFriendship\u201d pipeline (linking to PCK Schwedt refinery and Rostock port),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approx. 10 km from Grupa Azoty Police,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approx. 40 km from Gryfino,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>approx. 70 km from PCK Schwedt refinery (Germany) and planned cross-border hydrogen and oil corridors connecting Poland, Germany and the EU.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure
